About

Hey there, I'm Jordan—a freelance writer, editor, and bookstagrammer.

I have written for publications including Apartment Therapy, The Seattle Times, The Alternative, Pittsburgh City Paper, and more.

From August 2018 to December 2020, I worked as a full-time staff writer for alternative weekly Pittsburgh City Paper, where I was responsible for highlighting the local music scene curating the music section. Before that, I wrote for the now-defunct D.C. Music Download and was a writer and editor for EDM site edmbangers.com.

During my time at City Paper, I was a 2020 Robert L. Vann Media Award Winner for Pittsburgh Black Media Federation’s Excellence in Written Journalism, Non-Daily Newspaper – Arts/Entertainment, a 2020 Association of Alternative Newsmedia 3rd Place Winner for Multimedia, and a 2019 Golden Quill Finalist for Excellence in Written Journalism, Daily – Arts/Entertainment.
In mid-2020, I joined indie music site The Alternative as a contributor and the independently owned queer/trans/artist label Get Better Records team to assist with in-house public relations. I have run campaigns for Lande Hekt and Suzie True, among others. Additionally, I run a thriving bookstagram account that has over 10k followers. My account has been featured in Marie Claire, Glamour, and She Reads.

I cover music, literature, fashion, entertainment, and more. Interested in working together? I’m available for hire. For more information on hiring me to help you with your writing, blogging, social media, or music public relations needs including biographies and release campaigns, please use my contact page.
